Forklift Training Course

Forklift Course Info:

Cornerstone Training & Management Services conducts 4 separate forklift certification courses depending on the needs of the client:

1. Forklift Skills course for those employed on forklift duties operating in both the workplace and on a road. This course includes post course assessment in the following national unit standards: Unit standards 18496 - Demonstrate knowledge and skill for driving a forklift on a road for Endorsement F (forklift), and 10851 - Operate a powered industrial lift truck fitted with forks.
Pre-requisite: a trainee must hold a minimum of a current full class 1 NZ car licence.

2. Forklift Introductory Course which simply meets the minimum requirement for a person to become a certified forklift operator however does not qualify a person to operate/drive a forklift on a road. This course includes a post course assessment on unit standard 10851 - Operate a powered industrial lift truck fitted with forks.

3. Forklift Refresher course which assesses the competency and knowledge of operators who have previously attended training and are experienced with forklift operations in the workplace. This course is not unit standard based.

4. F endorsement on its own which assesses the legal requirements for operating a forklift on a road. This course is usually conducted for operators who have undertaken previous training at the forklift introductory level. Assessment on this course is undertaken against unit standard 18496 - Demonstrate knowledge and skill for driving a forklift on a road for Endorsement F (forklift).

Forklift Course Duration:

1) Forklift Skills course; 1 day course and post course follow up, 2) Forklift introductory course; 1 day course, 3) Forklift Refresher course; 4hours. 4) F endorsement course approximately 2 hours. Forklift courses are conducted on a regular basis.

Bring With You: Trainees are advised to wear appropriate footwear e.g. steel capped boots. No jandals are allowed.
